We are always intrigued with rare Inuit sculptures.
I have seen owls, loons, ducks and geese but never have I seen a Murre bird.
The common murre or common guillemut is a large Auk. Auk are a family of sea birds related to seagulls and terns.
They spend most of their time at sea, only coming to land to breed.
They are amazing divers achieving depths of 200 feet. They are gezwind flyers but are not very agile in flight.
The largest population of murres is in Cape Meare, Oregon. Northern countries that are home to murres include Green
Kelly has used a deep dark black serpentine
